Reporting Absence

The College requires that all absences are reported by 10am on the day of absence, if not before, if possible.

Ideally parents/carers should report absence using the following methods:

1) Report absence using our Cedar information system

An account for Cedar can set up here. This takes a short time to do and will enable parents to report absences, and also check timetables, attendance, reports and exam timetables (when published) over the year - so it really is worth setting up an account.

OR

2) Phoning the General Office on 01206 500 700

Please phone before 10am if at all possible. The General Office team will update registers and ensure that staff are aware.

We also encourage students to contact teachers and their personal tutor individually. Please note that teachers will often be able to share lesson resources, but students are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that they stay on top of missed content or homework.

Please note that current government advice regarding Covid is as follows:

"For children and young people aged 18 and under who are recommended to take a COVID-19 test by a health professional and test positive, the advice is to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for three days."
